Why I built it

Building forms is one of the most repetitive parts of front-end work: the same inputs, labels, layouts and validation, over and over again. I wanted a tool that lets me assemble a form visually and then hands me code I would have written myself.

What it does

  • 20+ form components and 100+ pre-built templates, organised by category.
  • Responsive layouts that I can design visually on a canvas.
  • Code export to clean React + Tailwind CSS that uses shadcn/ui components, ready to paste into a project.

Open source and community

Shadcn Builder is open source on GitHub, where it has grown to more than 600 stars. I launched it on Product Hunt, and the community regularly sends me feedback and feature requests, such as form previews and validation settings, which shape the roadmap.
